Does PDF conversion stay in my browser?
The preview is generated in the browser. Downloading a PDF sends the rendered HTML to the server for PDF generation. Do not treat this export as a local-only conversion.
Use a PDF when readers need a fixed document rather than Markdown source. The preview renders your Markdown as HTML; the PDF export sends that rendered content to QuillAid’s server. Sign-in is required for this export.
Input
Markdown (.md)
Output
PDF (.pdf)
Your converted content will appear here.
Use PDF when the recipient needs a reading copy rather than editable source. Prepare headings, paragraphs, and lists in Markdown, check the preview, then download after signing in. Keep the original Markdown or a QuillAid document for later revisions.
The workspace starts with this sample. Replace it with your content to preview your own conversion.
# Project handover ## Before you start - Confirm the owner - Review the delivery date | Task | Owner | | --- | --- | | Review draft | Editor |
<h1>Project handover</h1> <h2>Before you start</h2> <ul> <li>Confirm the owner</li> <li>Review the delivery date</li> </ul> <table> <thead> <tr> <th>Task</th> <th>Owner</th> </tr> </thead> <tbody> <tr> <td>Review draft</td> <td>Editor</td> </tr> </tbody> </table>
The preview renders the sample Markdown into HTML first. The example below shows that intermediate markup; the authenticated PDF service then lays it out as a PDF document. The browser preview helps check structure, but the final downloaded PDF is the place to verify page breaks.
PDF generation requires sign-in and a server request. Review the actual file for clipped tables, image loading, heading placement, and page breaks before sharing it. This tool does not offer selectable page templates or an automatic table of contents. A successful preview alone does not confirm the PDF download.

Open in Editor transfers the converted content to a new QuillAid document in this browser tab. It does not download a file first. You can edit locally, or sign in to save edits to your account.
